The Yorkshire Food And Drink Festival
Where: Elsecar Heritage Centre
When: Friday 18th June 2010 to Sunday 20th June 2010

The event aims to highlight the wonderful array of products from the food and drink sector within Yorkshire and regions further afield. Our intention is to have 50% of exhibitors from within Yorkshire, and the balance made up of high quality producers and traders from other regions of the UK. The ethos is to create an ongoing showcase profiling quality products, support healthy eating, and also providing a platform for local primary schools, and hopefully roll out food and drink based competitions to schools within the Barnsley area, culminating in Finals, and winning displays at the event. The venue has been provisionally booked to make this a twice yearly event with shows in both June and October 2011 and 2012. Entertainment throughout the event will also be largely based around children’s groups, but also quality professional entertainment on each day.
